Ladybugs

Ladybugs, or lady beetles, are a tiny bugs known for their colorful, spotted appearance.  Many people adore ladybugs but farmers really like them because most of the species will eat plant-eating aphids, therefore protecting crops.  Ladybugs secrete a fluid from their joints that gives them a foul taste.  Their bright colors, red, yellow or orange, are a good reminder for other animals to stay away.
When Chris Anderson Bradbery was born, she was premature and the nurse told her parents she was as small as a ladybug.  She, therefore, became associated with ladybugs and her family always found cute ladybug themed items for her.  After her parents passed away, Chris went to the cemetery to visit their monument.  She had pulled some weeds and walked away to throw them out.  When she returned, the monument was covered in hundreds of ladybugs.  She knew it was her family saying hello and thanking her for visiting.
