Where were you?

2015 is the 50th anniversary of New Mexico Junior College. To celebrate, the Museum is planning an exhibit about 1965. The opening of the exhibit is part of a year-long celebration of NMJC.  1965:  Celebrating 50 years of New Mexico Junior College will take a broad look at what was happening in the 60's locally, nationally and world-wide. In this exhibit you will be able to see popular cars from 1965, hear the top music from that year and see what it took to make NMJC a reality.

We need your help!  Do you have a 1965 model car?  Do you still have memorabilia from 1965?  Do you have anything from the early days of NMJC?  We would love to talk to you about loaning those items to the Museum.

Here's another way you can be involved.  Do you have a picture of you, your family or friends from the 1960s?  If so, and you don't mind us using them, scan them or bring them in and we will scan them.  Give us your name, the date of the picture and names of those in the picture.  We will have a rotating display of photos from the 60s.  Also, if you have a memory from the 60s you'd like to share, just a quick sentence, please let us know.  Your contributions can take this exhibit from general to personal.  Contact us if you have any questions.

1965:  Celebrating 50 years of New Mexico Junior College is scheduled for June 11-July 26, 2015.
