
Have you heard about the mammoth discovery right here in southeastern New Mexico? Come learn more about it when the New Mexico Museum of Natural History visits Hobbs on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 6-7:30pm.
Please drop by the Western Heritage Museum Complex & Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 18 at 6:00 pm to visit with representatives from the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. Calvin Smith will make the official announcement of the discovery of a mammoth in Lea County. This discovery could be significant for our community. If you want to learn more about it, plan to attend.
The reception is hosted by the NM Museum of Natural History Foundation, and their Board President, along with several Board Members, will be here to talk about the ways in which the NM Museum of Natural History is reaching out to communities across the state. The program will also feature Hollis Gillespie, the Executive Director of the NM Museum of Natural History and Dr. Spencer Lucas, Chief Curator of Paleontology.
